Scripture: Isaiah 40:30-31 - Though youth grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength;

Thought: There's nothing more irritating than hearing the words "you have to WAIT." Like an impetuous child, most of us want our reward NOW. So, what is the purpose of the WAIT? 1 Peter 2:19 reads when you patiently endure suffering, this very act finds favor with God. The wait produces endurance, appreciation, trust and ultimately pleases God. Isaiah 40:31 reassures us that the wait is not in vain. It shows God's reward for our patience and the exchange of our mediocre strength for HIS.

Prayer: Father forgive my impatience. Help me to trust that you are working all things together for my good. Usher me into that blessed rest as I adher, trust, rely and WAIT on you in Jesus name, Amen.
